Praying with the Bible: an Introduction to Lectio Divina
We welcome world renowned Catholic biblical scholar, Stephen J. Binz for an evening session entitled, Praying with the Bible: an Introduction to Lectio Divina. The talk will be held at St. Peter's Church on Thursday, February 11th at 7:00 p.m.
 
Lectio Divina is a way of praying with Scripture that calls one to study, ponder, listen and, finally, pray and even sing and rejoice from God's Word, within the soul.
 
Stephen Binz is a popular speaker, and award-winning author of more than two dozen books on the Bible, including the acclaimed new series, Threshold Bible Study.
 
What Do Catholics Believe?
Father Kevin Maloney will be hosting a six-week series looking at what Catholics believe. The talks, which will take place Tuesday mornings begins Tuesday, February 23rd and runs until Tuesday, March 30th.
 
Sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. following the 8:00 a.m. mass and will be held at
St. Peter's Church.

The Servant at the Supper
On Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., St. Peter's Parish and the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel & Association will host a performance of the play The Servant at the Supper. (The play is approximately 60 minutes long.) There will be a free will offering with proceeds going to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel & Association.
 
Costumed as the 'servant girl' who baked the bread and served the wine at the Last Supper, Eleanor Glenn takes her captivated audiences with her as she moves on to witness the hours of Christ's life. 
 
Eleanor is a retired Ontario, Canada Catholic Elementary School Principal with a Religious Education Specialist Certificate and a love for writing, directing and performing.
