The laity can also feel called, or be in fact called, to cooperate with their pastors in the service of
the ecclesial community, for
the sake of its growth and life. This can be done through the
exercise of different kinds of ministries, according to the grace and
charisms which the Lord
has been pleased to bestow on them. (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
Parish Leadership teams are established
in all parishes to assist with the management of
lay volunteers, thus allowing the parish priests more time to devote to the apostolate
to
which they were ordained.
Parish Leadership Teams
The Parish Pastoral Team Leader, under the direction of the pastor, recruits and supervises
coordinators for
specific lay ministries in the parish. Also, coordinates and assists in the training
of lay volunteers. As a member of the parish pastoral
council, advises the pastor regarding
all those matters which pertain to the pastoral life of the parish:
