St. Julien Adoration Chapel
Ten years ago on August 1st, 1998 St. Julien's Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel opened its doors. The original Chapel was
located at St. Columban's Parish Hall. The Chapel was named after St. Peter Julian Eymard, a priest from France who lived in
the 19th century. St. Peter Julian, who had a tremendous love for Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament , began
an order called Priests of the Blessed Sacrament. He also founded an order of Sisters, called the Servants of the Blessed
Sacrament.
Currently there are approximately 200 "committed" adorers who cover the 168 hours in a week. These adorers make
it possible for the Chapel to be open 24 hours a day every day. In any given week an additional 300 to 600 visitors will
drop in for a visit with our Eucharistic Lord.
Come and experience this "TREASURE" in our midst!

Signing
In
Everyone is welcome at the Chapel. To gain access, simply ring the bell and the adorer on duty will be happy to let you in.
There
is a 'sign-in' book for regular adorers and visitors. There is also a binder containing "Favours Requested" and
"Prayers Answered". The entries testify both to the burdened hearts who come with faith and hope to seek help at the
feet of Jesus, and of the many prayers answered, the gratitude expressed amd the peace and serenity experienced.

"We will go throughout the city, we will pass among the people assailed by thousands of everyday problems, we will go to meet these
brothers and sisters of ours and we will show the Sacrament of Christ's presence to all: 'Behold the bread of angels, the bread of
pilgrims; the true bread of children.'
In this bread the Almighty, the Eternal, the thrice Holy has made Himself close to us, has
become 'God-With-Us,' Emmanuel."
